What You Need:
- Measuring Tape (preferably metal)
- Pencil
- Step Ladder
Important Notes:
- You can install your blinds on either the inside or outside of the window frame or sliding doors.
- Check for obstructions (handles, burglar guards, etc.) on the wall or in the window recess.
Measuring for Inside Mount Blinds
To install your blinds inside the window frame or sliding door, follow these steps:
- Measure the Width: Measure the width inside the frame in three different locations: top (A), middle (B), and bottom (C).
- Measure the Height: Measure the height inside the frame: left (D), middle (E), and right (F).
- Determine the Smallest Measurements: Use the smallest width measurement (A, B, or C) and the shortest height measurement (D, E, or F) to determine the size of your blind.
- Example:
- If A = 102cm, B = 101cm, and C = 100cm, the recommended width is 100cm.
- If D = 90cm, E = 90cm, and F = 89cm, the recommended height is 89cm.
- Adjustment: Deduct an additional 20mm from both width and height measurements for smooth gliding of the blind when raised.
